Concert Countdown Coaching

Four focused lessons to help your student feel confident and concert-ready.

Concert Countdown Coaching is a short, four-lesson program for middle and high school musicians who have an upcoming school concert. Instead of committing to months of lessons, your student gets targeted support right when they need it most — so they can walk on stage feeling prepared and proud of how they sound.

Who This Is For

  • Middle and high school band or jazz students preparing for a concert

  • Students who know the notes but struggle with tone, rhythm, or consistency

  • Families who want a clear, time-limited way to boost confidence before a performance

What Your Student Will Gain

  • Stronger tone and breath support

  • Better rhythm, timing, and articulation

  • More secure, accurate playing on their actual concert music

  • A simple practice routine they can follow on their own

  • More confidence walking into the concert

How the 4-Lesson Program Works

  1. Lesson 1 – Evaluation & Plan
We listen to your student’s concert music, identify the hardest spots, and create a custom practice plan with clear, realistic goals.

  2. Lesson 2 – Technique & Problem Spots
We focus on tone, rhythm, articulation, and accuracy while fixing the toughest passages in their music.

  3. Lesson 3 – Concert Simulation
We run sections as if it’s concert day, building consistency, style, and confidence under “performance” conditions.

  4. Lesson 4 – Final Polish
We put it all together, smooth out any remaining trouble spots, and give your student a simple “keep sharp before the concert” guide.

What Makes This Program Unique (Not Found in Standard Lessons)

Before & After Audio

Students record a run-through in Lesson 1 and again in Lesson 4.

Parents hear the growth — tone, accuracy, confidence, and clarity.

Personalized Practice Guide (PDF)

A customized, easy-to-follow practice plan built around the student’s actual concert music, including daily micro-goals and trouble-spot strategies.

Concert Simulation

In Lesson 3, we rehearse under “concert-like” conditions to improve consistency, entrances, focus, and performance confidence.

Recordings to Play Along With

Students receive play-along tracks tailored to their concert repertoire or skill focus. This makes practice more effective — and more fun.

Mid-Week Feedback

Students can send a short audio or video clip between lessons and receive quick feedback so progress doesn’t stall.

What Parents Can Expect

  • Noticeable improvement in how your student sounds and feels

  • Less frustration at home during practice time

  • A calmer, more confident experience on concert day
